Unfortunately, we have been notified by the course staff that the golf course can’t take on any more water and given the forecast for the next hour, the course will undoubtedly be unplayable, nor do we expect to receive the all clear from the weather detection system for some time. Due to these circumstances, we will have to cancel Round 1 of the Junior Elite Event #2 @ Glenview Park. We tried every scenario to not have to wipe out all of today’s round, but given the course’s schedule and tee sheet for tomorrow, there would be no reasonable and fair way for all players to continue Round 1 where play was discontinued.
Pairings will remain the same tomorrow as the original tee times in Round 1 and the event will be an 18 hole event contested tomorrow, Tuesday June 20th. Results will still be honored by Junior Golf Scoreboard and AJGA Performance Stars will still be awarded.
We apologize that the situation is not ideal, but we thank you for your patience as we worked through every possible scenario to allow the kids to play as much golf as possible.
