LEMONT, Ill. – The Illinois Junior Golf Association hosted the 20th DuPage County Junior Classic May 19-20. This event served as the local qualifier for the IMG Junior Worlds Championship Qualifier.

The DuPage County Junior Classic (DCJC) was a 36-hole, individual Stroke Play event. The Boys 15-18 Division played the par 71 Preserve at Oak Meadows from 6,717 yards. The Girls 13-18 Division and the Boys 11-12 Division played the par 71 Maple Meadows GC from 5,631 yards. The Boys 13-14 Division played Maple Meadows GC as a par 70 from 6,223 yards. The Girls 11-12 Division also played the par 71 Maple Meadows GC from 5,340 yards. This event had an additional add-on option to make it an IMG Academy Junior World Qualifier.

The Illinois Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing playing opportunities for its members ages 8-18, conducting educational clinics and events, and serving as a junior golf informational clearinghouse.

In the Boys 15-18 Division, Alex Eickhoff (2020) of Hillsboro, Ill., carded a 5-under-par 139 to take top honors, as well as earning an exemption into the IMG Junior Worlds Championship. Eickhoff’s opening round included four birdies which gave him an early lead with a 4-under-par 68. His final round of 1-under-par 71 moved his tournament total to 5-under-par 139.

Coming in runner-up, also qualifying for the IMG Junior Worlds Championship, was Sean Curran (2021) of New Lenox, Ill., with a 4-under-par 140. In third was, Joshua Kirkham (2019) of Burr Ridge, Ill., and Jack Crawshaw (2019) of Winnetka, Ill., who each carded a 3-under-par 141. Rounding out the top five were Justin Seymour (2018) of Wheaton, Ill., Mac McClear (2019) of Hinsdale, Ill., and Max Farley (2020) of Orland Park, Ill., who each finished the tournament with a 2-under-par tournament total.

In the Boys 13-14 Division, Eli Myers (2023) of Northbrook, Ill., carded a 4-over-par 144 tournament total to take the top spot on the leaderboard. Myers earned the Division’s exemption into the IMG Junior Worlds Championship. Myers carded a final round of 1-over-par 71 en route to his first place finish.

One stroke back was runner-up, Conana Pan (2021) of Vernon Hills, Ill., who finished the tournament with a 5-over-par 145 total. In a tie for third was Jason Gordon (2023) of Northbrook, Ill., and Brett Paeglow (2021) of DeKalb, Ill., who each carded a 6-over-par 146. Rounding out the top five was Graham Head (2022) of Glen Ellyn, Ill., who finished the tournament at 7-over-par 147.

In the Girls 13-18 Division, Hanna Tanaka (2019) of Glenview, Ill., defeated Shannyn Vogler (2022) of Sherrard, Ill., in a sudden-death playoff which lasted two holes. Each player carded a tournament total of 3-over-par 145 to force the playoff. In the Girls 15-18 Division, Tanaka and Grace Curran (2019) of New Lenox, Ill., earned exemptions into the IMG Junior Worlds Championship, while Vogler earned the exemption in the Girls 13-14 Division.

Rounding out the top three in the Girls 13-18 Division was Brianne Bolden (2019) of Mokena, Ill., who carded a 5-over-par 147 tournament total.

A playoff in the Boys 11-12 Division earned Henry Reiland (2024) of Chicago, Ill., the top spot on the leaderboard. Reiland defeated Jimmy DeCillo (2024) of Glencoe, Ill., in a sudden death playoff which lasted two holes. Reiland and DeCillo each carded a 13-over-par 155 tournament total. Rounding out the top three was Charlie Pettrone (2024) of Crystal Lake, Ill., who carded a 14-over-par 156 tournament total. Reiland earned the Boys 11-12 Division’s exemption into the IMG Junior Worlds Championship.

In the Girls 11-12 Division, Eva Greenberg (2024) of Rockford, Ill., earned top honors after defeating Allyson Duan (2025) of Buffalo Grove, Ill., in a sudden-death playoff. Greenberg and Duan each carded a 24-over-par 166 tournament total. Duan earned the Girls 11-12 Division exemption for the IMG Junior Worlds Qualifier.
