DUNDEE, Ill. – The Illinois Junior Golf Association Youth Development Program’s regular season came to a close Tuesday with the conclusion of the 2020 Player of Year Championship at Randall Oaks GC. Congrats to all the players who qualified for the Player of the Year tournament and we look forward to seeing you all in 2021!
BOYS 12-13 DIVISON
**Shortened to 27 holes due to weather**
POY Champion: Alex Lee (2026) of Northbrook, IL
A. Lee defeated Charles Davenport (2025) of Clarendon Hills, Ill., on the second playoff hole to earn champion honors. Both players finished the tournament with a 2-over-par 109 total. Coming in third place were Drew Schauenberg (2025) of Barrington, Ill., and Regan Konen (2027) of Sugar Grove, Ill., who each carded a 7-over-par 117. Rounding out the top five was Joseph Scott (2026) of Lemont, Ill., who carded a two-day total of 10-over-par 117.
Points Race Winner: Drew Schauenberg (2025) of Barrington, IL
Schauenberg earned 6,625.83 points over eight events.
GIRLS 12-13 DIVISON
POY Champion: Lisa Copeland (2026) of Naperville, ILÂ
Points Race Winner:
Copeland finished the tournament with a 2-under-par 140. She had back-to-back rounds of 1-under-par 70. Rounding out the top three were Kacie Moon (2025) of Northbrook, Ill., and Martha Kuwahara (2026) of Northbrook, Ill., who each finished the tournament with a 14-over-par 156 total.
Points Race Winner: Elyssa Abdullah (2025) of Hinsdale, IL
Abdullah earned 2,410 points over five events.
BOYS 10-11 DIVISON

POY Champion & Points Race Winner: Lester Low (2028) of Evanston, IL
L. Low finished atop the leaderboard after carding a 3-over-par 109 tournament total. He also earned top honors for the season-long points race after earning 2,560 points over ten events.
Coming in second was Asher Moon (2027) of Northbrook, IL, with a tournament total of 10-over-par 116. Rounding out the top three was Charlie Forrest (2027) of Western Springs, IL with an 11-over-par 117 total.
GIRLS 10-11 DIVISON

POY Champion & Points Race Winner: Campbell Ray (2027) of Long Grove, IL
Ray finished the tournament with a 7-over-par 113 total. She also finished atop the leaderboard for the season-long points race earning 2,252.50 points over 14 events.
Coming in runner-up was Jennifer March (2027) of Arlington Heights, IL, with a 10-over-par 116. Rounding out the top three was Lilian She (2027) of Buffalo Grove, IL.
