HIGHLAND PARK, Ill.— Players from three divisions competed in the two-round Fall Junior Elite at Sunset Valley Golf Club on August 12-13. Nick Ratini (67-70–137) from Roselle won the Boys 12-15 division, Yettie Bin (70-70–140) of Taichung took first for the Girls 12-15 division, and Saint Charles’ Euan Tiner (72-72–144) won the Boys 10-11 division.
THE TOURNAMENT:
- The Fall Junior Elite at Sunset Valley is a 36-hole stroke play event spanning two days. The contest is for juniors ages 10-15.
- Par for the course was 72. For the Boys aged 12-15 the course played 6,083 yards. For the girls aged 12-15 and the boys aged 10-11, the course played 5,317 yards.
THE BOYS 12-15 LEADERBOARD:
- Ratini went five under during the first round with six birdies and two under in the second round. His two-round score of seven under earned him first place by five strokes.
- William Comiskey (71-71–142) of Hinsdale was the runner-up after posting a two-round score of two under par. He shot one under par in both rounds.
- Leo Enomoto (72-73–145) finished in third place with rounds of even and one over par. The Schaumburg resident finished the tournament at one over par.

ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Ratini was the only player to make an eagle. He eagled the par five hole number 12 during round two.
- Comiskey and Ratini each put up nine total birdies. Enomoto, Thomas Haas, Isaiah Kandula, Johnny Santucci, and JD Walters each made eight birdies.
- Luke Patel parred 29 of the 36 holes.
- Patel and Ratini each went 17 straight holes bogey-free.
THE GIRLS’ LEADERBOARD:
- Bin won by 12 after finishing 36 holes at four under par. She shot two under in each of her two rounds.
- Lauren Gauss (78-74–152) of Plainfield took second place with rounds of six over par and two over par. Her two-round score came to eight over par.
- Elmhurst resident Madison Cotey (78-79–157) rounded out the podium with a two-round score of 13 over par. She shot eight over in round one and seven over in round two.

ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Bin led the field with nine total birdies. Cotey made four total birdies.
- Gauss made a par on 27 of the 36 holes.
- Bin went 16 straight holes bogey-free. Gauss had an 11-hole bogey-free streak.
THE BOYS (10-11) LEADERBOARD:
- Tiner was consistent, shooting par in both rounds to finish the tournament even and win by two strokes.
- Joey Perrino (72-74–146) of Glen Ellyn won second place with a two-round score of two over par. He had rounds of par and two over par.
- Rayan Patel (74-73–147) of Bloomingdale finished in third place with a 36-hole score of three over par. He shot two over par in round one and one over par during round two.

ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Luca Marinescu led the pack in birdies made with seven total. Perrino and Tiner each put up six birdies.
- Rayan Patel and Sachin Patel each parred 25 of the 36 holes.
- Tiner went 17 straight holes without making a birdie.
