Play for Regional #16 at Glendale Lakes has been temporarily suspended due to lightning in the area. At this point, we do not know exactly how long the delay will last. We will keep you updated on the course conditions and restart of play.
UPDATE AS OF 2:00PM ON 7/29/16: We are still under a weather delay at Glendale Lakes GC for Regional #16. There is still inclement weather in the area and we have not gotten an “All Clear” from the course’s weather system. We will make our final evaluation at 2:30 PM. At that point, if it looks like there is a good chance we can get players back on the golf course, we will do so. If not, we will call the event and make the event a 9-hole contest. If we are able to resume play or decide if we are definitely going to cancel play prior to 2:30 PM, we will do so and notify you with another email.
UPDATE AS OF 2:30PM ON 7/29/16: Due to inclement weather and course conditions, Regional #16 at Glendale Lakes GC was cancelled. An announcement was made to the players and parents on site, but we wanted to notify anyone that was not present. All players in the Senior Boys and Junior Boys Divisions were able to complete 9 holes. Due to our policy, since they were able to complete 9 holes, it is considered a complete and official event. Points and trophies will be awarded. All other divisions will not count as official events and no points will be awarded. We are working with the Glendale Lakes staff to determine what the IJGA will pay to Glendale Lakes and from that, we will be able to determine the credit issued to the divisions that were not able to complete at least 9 holes. Please understand that the IJGA will make every effort to make sure the credit issued is as much as we possibly can, and it may be different based on the division that you are in.
