LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Illinois Junior Golf Associations fall season kicked off last weekend with the Fall Jr Elite Event #1 @ Deerpath GC. Playoffs in two divisions helped to determine the champions of this event.
In the Boys 12-15 Division, Daniel Edwards (2022) of Chicago, Ill., carded a two-day total of 8-over-par 148. Coming in runner-up was Luke Tedford (2021) of Lake Forest, Ill., who shot a tournament total of 11-over-par 151.
In third place was Weston Walker (2023) of Peoria, Ill., who finished with a 12-over-par 152 tournament total. In fourth was Dori Lee (2022) of Buffalo Grove, Ill., finishing with a 13-over-par 153. Rounding out the top five was Peter Crowe (2022) of Lake Forest, Ill., who carded a 16-over-par 156.
In the Boys 10-11 Division, Jack Mulligan (2024) of Burr Ridge, Ill., carded a 27-over-par 171 to take champion honors. Coming in runner-up was Jimmy DeCillo (2024) of Glencoe, Ill., who finished one shot back with a 28-over-par 172 tournament total. Rounding out the top three was Luke Rhoads (2024) of Highland Park, Ill., who carded a 29-over-par 173 total.
In the Girls 12-15 Division, Shannyn Vogler (2022) of Sherrard, Ill., defeated Lizzie Anderson (2022) of Lockport, Ill., in a playoff after both girls carded an 11-over-par 155 tournament total. Rounding out the top three was Savannah Weyrauch (2020) of Bloomington, Ill., who carded a 16-over-par 160 tournament total.
In the Girls 10-11 Division, Eva Greenberg (2024) of Rockford, Ill., defeated Allyson Duan (2025) of Buffalo Grove, Ill., in a playoff after both girls carded a 30-over-par 170 tournament total. Rounding out the top three was Amelia Tan (2025) of Hinsdale, Ill., who carded a 75-over-par 215 tournament total.
The next Fall Jr Elite Event will be held at Pheasant Run Resort September 16-17, 2017.
